Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using DevToolStudio (“the Service”, “we”, “our”), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use the site.

2. Description of Service

DevToolStudio provides a collection of free, browser-based utility tools for software developers (JSON formatter, JWT decoder, regex tester, etc.). All processing occurs client-side in your browser. We do not operate servers that process your data.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download the Service in a manner that imposes unreasonable load.
  • Use the API Request Playground to send requests that constitute unauthorised access (e.g. attacking systems you do not own).
  • Misrepresent the origin of any content processed through the tools.

4. Intellectual Property

The site’s source code, design, and content are the property of DevToolStudio and its contributors. Third-party libraries are used under their respective open-source licences. You may not reproduce or redistribute the site or its branding without written permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs are correct or suitable for any specific purpose. Always verify tool outputs before using them in production.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVTOOLSTUDIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may include links to third-party websites or allow you to send requests to external APIs via the API Tester. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Use them at your own risk.

9. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable for any such modification or discontinuation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date indicates when the Terms were last changed.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal proceedings.
